Who is Judy Chiffon outside of Drag?

Drag queens challenge traditional ideas of masculinity and femininity. Despite the artistry and empowerment drag offers, it has often been viewed as controversial, Yet, behind the wigs, makeup, and personas, drag queens are ultimately individuals who, just like anyone else, are navigating their own experiences, desires, and identities. Who is behind the wig? In this series of images I documented Elias Rubinstein who is a junior at Ohio University. Rubinstein is also a drag queen.

Father, Husband, and Farmer

Adam Blaney planted his first garden in 2006 with his wife Tabby, at their former home in Lewisburg West Virginia. This is where their love for growing food began. A huge resource for them was the older generations of farmers willing to share their knowledge. They soaked as much of it as they could, and continued to grow their interests in farming. In 2012 they decided to move to Missouri where they would meet their mentors, Curtis & Sarah Millsap, from Millsap farm. They began volunteering more and more and joined their community-supported agriculture(CSA) program.

Adam realized his job was taking up too much time away from his kids. He was spending 59 nights out of the year not with his family. This ultimately fueled him in 2016 to make Blaney Family Farm a reality. He moved his family to Albany Ohio, and began the journey to be a first-generation farmer. Adam and his family have found a community within the farmers of Southeast Ohio. In the summer they host Pizza Club with live music and homemade pizza for the community. You can find them every Saturday at the Athens County Farmers Market. This story explores Adam as a farmer, husband, and father.
